Man Utd close to sealing Daniel James transfer after the Swansea winger saw move to Leeds collapse

MANCHESTER UNITED lead the race for in-demand Swansea ace Daniel James, according to reports.

Leeds missed out on the Welshman, 21, in January as the Swans pulled the plug at the last minute on deadline day.

And now the Daily Mail reports United are in pole position for a summer move – ahead of North West rivals Liverpool.

James has caught the eye at Swansea this season, with his lightning pace a nightmare for defences.

And he has made a goalscoring start to his Wales career with one goal in two caps under Old Trafford legend Ryan Giggs.

The forward is out of contract at the end of next season and could be snapped up for a bargain £10million.

United are ready for a reshuffle this summer as they try and fix their ailing squad.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to boot Anthony Martial out of Old Trafford due to his poor attitude in training.

The Manchester United boss admitted after Sunday’s pathetic 1-1 draw at relegated Huddersfield that people might have seen the last of some players.

Martial was not in the squad and now United will listen to offers for the Frenchman.

The striker angered fans with his sloppy keepy-uppy warm up  before the last home game against Chelsea.

SunSport can now reveal that a similar poor attitude in training has infuriated Solskjaer.

He will not be the only one kicked out, with the club also desperately trying to find a way to get £505,000-a-week Alexis Sanchez off their wage bill.

Ander Herrera and Juan Mata are already on their way with their contracts up and no new deals agreed.
