Man Utd boss Solskjaer hints youngsters Greenwood, Chong and Gomes could play against Leicester amidst injury crisis – The Sun

OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER has indicated he is ready to throw youngsters Mason Greenwood, Tahith Chong and Angel Gomes into the Manchester United team today.

The Old Trafford chief is having to combat a crippling injury crisis.

The Red Devils are without Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot so all three kids could play a part against Leicester.

Jesse Lingard, who withdrew from the England squad due to illness, could make a comeback, however.

United have already fielded their youngest-ever Premier League line-up already this season, but that could be lowered if all three start today.


Striker Greenwood, 17, is likely to partner Marcus Rashford in attack.

He has already played a part in all four of United's Prem games so far this term.

Dutch forward Chong, 19, is also in the frame after being on the bench for the 1-1 draw at Southampton last time out.

Attacking midfielder Gomes, who has only just turned 19, has captained England at Under-16, U-17 and U-18 levels.
