Liverpool and Newcastle coaches BANNED and fined £13,000 for fiery touchline bust-up at Anfield | The Sun

LIVERPOOL coach John Achterberg and Newcastle opposite number Dan Hodges have both been banned and fined for last month’s Premier League flare-up.

The pair clashed in the aftermath of Liverpool’s stoppage-time winner from Fabio Carvalho on August 31.

Carvalho scored in the 98th minute after “a minimum of five minutes” additional time was signalled but the goal sparked a touchline tear-up between the two.

Both Achterberg and Hodges admitted “improper behaviour”.

The Liverpool coach also accepted he used “abusive and insulting gestures” after flashing a V-sign at Anfield.

The duo both received one-match touchline bans and were warned about their future conduct with Achterberg fined £7,000 and Hodges ordered to pay £6,000.
