Jumps chaos, 150-1 winners and over £1m on the line – tips for three Grand Nationals in two weeks

GET ready for jumps chaos, 150-1 winners and over £1million on the line – with THREE Grand Nationals in two weeks.

Yes, the big one at Aintree is sandwiched between the Scottish Grand National and the Irish Grand National.

It marks an electrifying close to the season for National Hunt fans, with huge purses on offer, a shot at history for the jockeys and some mega-price winners.

Remember 150-1 Freewheelin Dylan at Fairyhouse last year?

Sun Racing has gone through the likely runners and riders for each one and picked out a hotshot.

At the time of writing he has 187 winners from 870 rides – a knockout 21 per cent strike rate.

Hughes always gets the big rides up north so it is intriguing he is on one quite high in the betting for the Scottish National.

Trainer David Dennis has been selective with his runners lately, with one winner in five runs over the past fortnight.

Hughes is ever dependable in the saddle and with experience over four miles, Innisfree Lad can put up a strong showing.

The Grand National 2022 tip

Aintree, 5.15pm, Saturday April 9

Eclair Surf 33-1

Emma Lavelle could have a cracking eight-year-old on her hands here in the shape of the relatively unexposed Eclair Surf.

The selection had subsequent Cheltenham Festival winner Corach Rambler in behind when winning a Class 1 over 3m5f at Warwick in January.

And a narrow second to Scottish National hot fancy Win My Wings followed on Eclair Surf's first attempt over 4m last month.

With just nine runs over fences – three of those wins – Lavelle's runner could be the surprise in the pack.

Irish Grand National 2022 tip

Fairyhouse, 5.00pm, Monday April 18

Stattler 8-1

This is Gordon Elliott's local track but go to the top of the market and his big rival Willie Mullins for the winner.

Stattler demolished Run Wild Fred over 3m5f at Cheltenham Festival.

Mullins' mount can confirm his superiority over his rivals with victory in the big one, backing up his trainer's 2019 victory with Burrows Saint.

Stattler is unbeaten in his last three over progressively longer trips and appears to have plenty more left in the tank.
