Jose Mourinho to return for El Clasico between Madrid and Barcelona… as a pundit

The Portuguese boss will swap the dugout for the studio when Real Madrid take on Barcelona at the Bernabeu on March 2.

Mourinho managed Los Blancos for three years but left controversially amid reports of a fallout amongst the players.

During that time he won La Liga and the Copa del Rey but failed to become the first manager to win three Champions League titles with three different clubs.

The unemployed gaffer also has history with Barcelona having worked as Bobby Robson's assistant during the 1996-97 campaign.

But instead of barking instructions at players, he'll be working alongside beIN SPORTS as a pundit as he plots his next job.

Barca sit nine points clear of Real Madrid at the top of the league and it will take an almighty slip up for them to lose out on the title.

Mourinho has been jetting across Europe on scouting missions as he already prepares to get back in the dugout.

After watching Lille's Nicolas Pepe and Thiago Mendes, he flirted with the idea of managing Paris Saint-Germain when quizzed on whether a job in Ligue 1 appeals to him.

He said: "I can imagine that, yes. I have worked in four different countries and I like that.

"I like to get to know other cultures and to learn all the time. To work in another league would be a fantastic experience."

The Portuguese coach has won the league title in Portugal, England, Spain and Italy.
