Inter ready to offer Perisic to Man Utd as part of Lukaku transfer as Conte claims Croatian doesn’t fit in at San Siro – The Sun
MANCHESTER UNITED may finally have an opportunity to sign Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan after two years of interest.
The Croatian World Cup was one of Jose Mourinho’s top targets two years ago but the Red Devils failed to bring the winger to Old Trafford.
Now Calcio Marcato claim the 30-year-old could be used as makeweight in a move for Romelu Lukaku.
Inter boss Antonio Conte has made no secret of his desire to bring the Belgian to the San Siro.
But so far they have been unable to stump up the cash United want for the striker.
The Italians have already had one offer of £54m rejected as the Premier League side hold out for £75m.
Now they could be about to make Perisic part of a package.
Conte has allegedly already informed the attacker he is not part of his plans for a new-look Inter.
And he is believed to have told him he will not be able to “adapt” to his preferred system.
But Perisic is not the only player mentioned as part of a potential exchange.
Both Mauro Icardi and Radja Nainggolan have also been linked.
However, Inter’s attempts look likely to be rebuffed again as United have no interest in a swap.
Old Trafford chiefs are only willing to do business for a straight cash deal.
