Inside KSI’s dressing room as joyous team tell him ‘no way it was a split decision’ after he beats Logan Paul – The Sun

KSI screamed “let’s go!” as he returned to his dressing room after beating Logan Paul.

His team showered their victorious fighter with praise after his stunning split decision victory over YouTube rival.

As the clearly tired and delighted Brit, 26, let his win soak in, he was greeted with hugs and handshakes by his cronies.

One pal shouted: “That’s f***ing career defining man.”

Another then picked up on the controversially-split scorecards.

He told KSI: “There is no way that was a split decision.”

The judges scored the bout 55-56, 57-54 and 56-55 – with a two-point deduction handed to Paul in the fourth round proving decisive.

With cameras filming every moment from all angles, KSI showed his humble side as he repeatedly said “thank you”.

He also took the opportunity to flick through his phone which appeared to be full of messages – almost certainly congratulating him on his victory.

Your boy has done it, I am victorious.

KSI broke down in tears in the ring after the split decision win, and said: “KSI was scared to fight last time, scared to touch him, this time I went in there.

“Fans saw how much bigger he was, his physique. So I thought screw that! I'm going to work my a*** off.

“I want to thank my team, they've helped me so much. Your boy has done it, I am victorious.

“I'm a dog, I keep saying it. He hit me in the back of the head, it was outrageous. Your boy is happy, victorious, happy days.”

The drama unfolded in the fourth when Paul finally landed a meaningful punch, after three rounds of KSI chasing his YouTube rival around the ring with some wild but resilient attacks.

The American internet star landed a flush counter right uppercut rocking the Brit to his boots.

But the US debutant continued to hold and hit his opponent as KSI was on his way to the floor.

And clearly lacking basic knowledge of the sport, Paul committed another cynical foul hitting his rival while he was on the canvas.

Referee Jack Reiss scored the knockdown, believing the first right uppercut was the punch that sent KSI down.

But Paul’s double fouls cost him dearly as two points were taken.

KSI wisely took his time to recover but was on shaky legs, just about managing to survive the round.

The two YouTube icons went hell for leather to close the fight with the judges split on their verdict.

However, the deciding card had KSI winning by one point, meaning had Paul not committed the two round four fouls then he would have won.

Heartbroken and beaten, Paul said: “I let emotions get the best of me.

“No warning and I got two points taken away from me.

“I would love to contest the commission.”
