How Jack Grealish’s lover Sasha Attwood is channelling famous WAG by 'forgiving fling’, ultimatum threat & fashion work | The Sun

SASHA Attwood was a key player in team WAG yesterday as they cheered on England to their stunning 6-2 victory against Iran.

The 26-year-old has been dating Manchester City winger Jack Grealish since they were teenagers, and gave the topless player a hug after the game to celebrate.

The couple looked closer than ever after surviving recent cheating storms, with Sasha loyally standing by her man through thick and thin… remind you of anyone?

Their loved-up display was reminiscent of the way former England ace Wayne Rooney, 37, celebrated with Coleen, 36, at the World Cups he played.

And just like Coleen, it seems Sasha has managed to tame Jack after his playing off the pitch.

Here we reveal just how similar the two women are – they do say imitation is the best form of flattery…

Sweet 16

Childhood sweethearts Jack and Sasha met at St Peter’s Roman Catholic Secondary School in Solihull at the age of 16, and have been together ever since.

Wayne and Coleen had a similar start, getting together aged 16 just after they left secondary school in Liverpool, having met when they were 12.

In his recent documentary, Rooney, the player-turned-manager said: “I think I was 11 or 12 and I knew I wanted to go out with her and I wanted to marry her.

“I said to her at the time, ‘When we grow up we’re going to get married and you’re going to have our kids, and she was looking at me like, ‘good one!’”

He added: "There was something about her that I just adored."

Stuck by their men

Like Coleen, Sasha has stuck by Jack when the couple became engulfed in a cheating storm.

Last year there were reports he got “very cosy” with 2018 Love Islander Ellie Brown in a Manchester nightclub.

Jack was also linked to 2019 Love Island winner Amber Gill and allegedly had a fling with Emily Atack.

But Jack ultimately chose Sasha, who took a leaf out of Coleen's book by staying loyal to her man and "rising above it".

A pal told The Sun on Sunday: “Sasha still trusts Jack and they are determined to work through the recent revelations about his links with Amber and Emily.

“They’ve had some heart to hearts but have decided to turn over a fresh leaf together because they love each other and want to work on their relationship.”

Coleen and Wayne were famously rocked when it emerged the footballer began frequenting prostitutes when he was just 16.

Later in 2010, when Coleen was pregnant with their first child, he met prostitute Jennifer Thompson seven times and was exposed for having a threesome with her and Helen Wood – who went on to win Big Brother.

Wayne later said: "Foolish as it now seems I did on occasions visit massage parlours and prostitutes. I now regret it deeply and hope people may understand that it was the sort of mistake you make when you are young and stupid.

"It was at a time when I was very young and immature."

In the documentary Coleen said: “Forgiveness I’d say is different. It’s not acceptable what he’s done but it’s happened and that was a stage of life that we were in at the time. But we’ve moved on.

“I forgive him but it wasn’t acceptable. If it comes up we talk about it like we are talking about it now. I haven’t got the anger I did at the time.”

Psychologist Emma Kenny tells The Sun the fact both couples have been together since such a young age means there's a pragmatism about the fact that staying completely faithful, in certain circumstances, can be challenging.

"Therefore an indiscretion of a partner, particularly one that’s in the limelight like Jack or Wayne, can sometimes be something that can be navigated and diffused," she says.

"And, as opposed to it weakening the relationship, it can strengthen it."

Equally, she suggests leaving someone who’s served such an effective purpose in their lives may be too emotionally challenging and make them feel more unstable than staying.

"It's why people in these relationships often thrive rather than survive, and why they put up with the relationships rather than walk away," she says.

Stern ultimatums

Jack’s decision to stay with Sasha was reportedly after she issued him with an ultimatum, telling him:  "It's Emily Atack or me." 

He then reportedly ended his six-week fling with Emily by cutting off all contact with her, after it was claimed he'd been “besotted”.

Like Coleen, Sasha kept a dignified silence, and the following February it seemed all was forgiven, as Sasha shared a snap of herself and Jack with her dog captioned: "Happy Valentine's Day to my day one."

The couple have been solid as a rock since, and she’s been there supporting him at every game.

Coleen issued a similar demand to curb Wayne’s drinking in February 2019, after he had a 10-hour booze session with barmaid Vicki Rosiek in Florida.

She apparently told him “it’s me or the booze" – and wisely he picked her.

Fashionistas

While boyfriend Jack has been working hard on the pitch, Sasha has been busy carving out her own career.

She was scouted by a modelling agent aged just 13 while on a shopping trip with her mum in Birmingham.

Sasha is represented by Industry Model Management and has modelled for a number of high profile labels.

In September 2021 she scored a big-money deal as the face of online clothing brand Boohoo.

She’s also worked with House of Fraser, and is set to be the new face of L’Oreal. Sasha also has a YouTube channel where she chats about fashion.

Sasha is reportedly one of the England WAGs asked to star in a behind-the-scenes Netflix documentary for the World Cup.

Up until 2017, Coleen had a £2million deal with Littlewoods, and previously starred in TV show Coleen's Real Women, in which she was labelled "the nation's favourite girl next door".

It saw the WAG search for "real women" to front advertising campaigns instead of models.

Coleen also released a book – Coleen's Real Style – and a four-book series called Coleen Style Queen between 2008 to 2010.

Lavish luggage

Sasha and Coleen’s shared love of fashion is clear from their jobs, but also just how much they take abroad with them.

Pictures of Sasha this week showed her strolling through the airport in Qatar wheeling a trolley piled with 12 suitcases for the World Cup.

Coleen has famously never been one to travel light.

In 2018, on a family trip to the Caribbean, she and Wayne got a minivan filled with 10 posh Samsonite Cosmolite Spinner suitcases – costing around £430 each.

While she and Wayne do have a big brood, her children all had their own separate smaller suitcase each, so those were just for her and Wayne’s clobber!
