How Gerrit Cole, Masahiro Tanaka and wives kept busy during 2020 ALCS

Gerrit Cole and Masahiro Tanaka are getting through the postseason blues with their favorite fans.

On Saturday, Yankees ace Cole revealed he and wife Amy were enjoying a dinner date with fellow pitcher Tanaka and his wife, Mai Satoda.

“Our favorite sushi dates,” Cole captioned the photo on his Instagram story as the foursome sat at a table.

Tanaka, 31, re-posted the picture to his own page, adding a collection of heart-eyed emojis and the hands raised animations.

The Yankees were eliminated from the playoffs earlier this month, falling to the now World Series-bound Tampa Bay Rays in the ALDS. Following the Game 5 loss, Tanaka — an impending free agent — posted a heartfelt message to fans on Instagram.

“It’s heartbreaking that our season had to come to an end without reaching our ultimate goal. But we appreciate all the support from you fans during this challenging year. There is nothing more exciting than playing in front of the best fans in baseball at Yankees stadium, and we certainly missed that this season. Still we felt your support and I’d like to send a big THANKS to you all!” he penned.

As for Cole, 30, he isn’t going anywhere after signing a monstrous nine-year, $324 million deal with the Yankees last December.
