Fans fuming over ‘ridiculous’ decision to axe Man City vs West Ham as sun shines in Manchester despite Storm Ciara fears – The Sun

FOOTBALL fans are fuming that Man City's game against West Ham was axed due to Storm Ciara after the sun broke through and conditions vastly improved.

The Citizens were due to face the Hammers at 4.30pm at the Etihad, but around 11am a decision was made to postpone the clash due to "extreme and escalating weather conditions."

Yet the weather did the opposite of escalate with the sun making an appearance.

To make matters all the more frustrating, Sheffield United's home match against Crystal Palace was allowed to go ahead, despite the game kicking off over two hours earlier.

City are now set to suffer from fixture congestion chaos as they try to squeeze in their match against West Ham, as they are already involved with eight games from February 22 to March 14.

As well as preparing for their Champions League battle against Real Madrid, they are also gearing up for the Carabao Cup final against Aston Villa on March 1.

Therefore it's understandable why City fans have tweeted their anger that this afternoon's encounter against the East London outfit was called off so early.

Addressing the sun that is currently beaming down, one supporter tweeted: "Gorgeous weather in Manchester now. Typical City."

Another fan in disbelief added: "Suns out in Manchester now. Ridiculous how that Citeh games off."

A third simply stated: "Suns out in Manchester."

One quipped: "I think somebody is having @ManCity over – and I’m just 20 mins from the Ground.
