Ex-Arsenal and Germany star Lukas Podolski, 38, goes two months without being paid as club hits financial crisis | The Sun
LUKAS PODOLSKI and his team-mates have gone two months without being paid by Gornik Zabrze, according to reports.
The former Arsenal and Germany ace joined the Polish side in 2021.
Now 38, he has seen his team fall on hard times.
According to German outlet Bild, Gornik have "major" financial issues.
They are claimed to have not paid their players in two months, and are waiting on late payments themselves.
Gornik are reportedly waiting for around £1.5million from the sale of Szymon Włodarczyk to Sturm Graz over the summer.

They expect to receive the payment by the end of this month.
The Polish top flight side are also claimed to be waiting on money for Krzysztof Kubica.
The 23-year-old joined Italian side Benevento in the summer.
Gornik are also said to have suffered with financial issues in the spring.

Podolski is even alleged to have offered to loan them £175,000, although the club turned him down.
The forward has managed just one goal and one assist in 11 appearances this season.
Gornik sit 15th in the 18-team table – just one point above the relegation zone.
In recent years, Podolski has opened a string of kebab shops in Germany.
He has also owned a clothes shop and ice cream parlour.
