Everton flop Mo Besic offered escape route by Besiktas and Fenerbahce

EVERTON flop Muhamed Besic has been offered escape route by Turkish Super Lig duo Besiktas and Fenerbahce.

The Toffees midfielder, 26, looks set to end his nightmare stint at Goodison Park with a £9million summer move on the horizon.

Besic has spent the 15 months on loan at Middlesbrough with Everton boss Marco Silva not seeing him in the club's future.

The 36-cap Bosnia and Herzegovina star has two years still to run on his contract, but Silva is said to willing to sell him on the cheap.

Besic has been on Merseyside since 2014, when he joined from Hungarian side Ferencvaros for £4m.

However, the midfielder went on to play just 37 times in the Premier League – including just twice since the start of the 2016-17 campaign.

BORO REVIVAL

At the start of last season, Besic was shipped off to Teesside, where played 41 times across the past two seasons.

Ex-Everton boss Roberto Martinez described Besic as a "very complete footballer".

The Spaniard added: "He has got a very natural balance about knowing that he can be strong and aggressive but in the same way he's a technical player on the ball."

However, he's failed to make the grade in the Premier League and now looks set to be shipped off to Turkey.

Besic's career has been derailed by a string of serious injuries, including cruciate ligament damange.

But the midfielder has been in good form of late and put in a Man of the Match-worth performance in Middlesbrough's win over Bolton last week.

Both Besiktas and Fenerbahce are interested in a summer move for Besic – with Everton somehow aiming to more than double their investment.
