Dwayne Haskins welcomes Chase Young to Redskins after NFL draft announcement

He wants him to be a part of it — the Redskins organization, that is.

Presumptive No. 2 draft pick Chase Young announced his plans to enter the 2020 NFL Draft on Friday, and it didn’t take long for his former (and potentially future) teammate Dwayne Haskins to welcome him.

“See you soon,” the Washington quarterback said alongside a winky-face in a quote tweet response to the post.

The Ohio State edge rusher, who posted 16.5 sacks in his junior season, is one of the prized possessions of the upcoming draft. And he could’ve been a Giant.

The Giants were in line for the No. 2 overall pick when it faced Washington in Week 16 with both teams sitting at 3-11, but a 41-35 overtime win pushed the Giants back in the draft order.

The Redskins lost their remaining game to the Cowboys, finishing 3-13 and “earning” the second draft slot. The Giants, at one game better, will draft fourth. The Bengals have the No. 1 pick and are expected to take LSU stud Joe Burrow, leaving Young available at No. 2 if the Redskins choose to go that way.

New York also flirted with taking Haskins — a New Jersey native — in last year’s draft, before passing on him for Daniel Jones with the No. 6 pick.

Now, Haskins may be getting the last laugh with Young likely headed to Washington.
