Declan Rice reveals Marko Arnautovic WILL be back for West Ham's clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday

Arnautovic missed the Hammers 1-1 home draw against league leaders Liverpool last night – as the Austrian was sidelined with a foot problem.

West Ham were unfortunate not to walk away with all three points at the London Stadium yesterday.

And Hammers starlet Rice urged his side to take the form they displayed against Liverpool into the derby – as he also revealed Arnautovic will return for the London clash.

Rice said: "We were excellent and we have got to build on that now," the 20-year-old told reporters after the draw in Stratford.

"We can do that if we go out there against Palace with the same attitude and desire. Marko will be back for that as well."

Arnautovic looked set to depart from the Premier League as the forward pursued a switch to the Chinese Super League.

However, after the deal collapsed, Arnautovic hastily did his best to convince Hammers fans he intended to stay after all and will continue to perform in the claret colours.

In absence of the Austrian last night, Mexican Javier Hernandez led the line up top playing 79 minutes – with Andy Carroll replacing the ex-Man United man.

Hernandez, like Arnautovic, looked set to be off in the winter window, with Valencia and Barcelona linked with the Mexican.

However, West Ham’s No17 remained in London as the Hammers looked to bring in Chelsea man Michy Batshuayi to bolster their attack after the Belgian had his loan with Valencia terminated.

Batshuayi, however, would stay in London – signing for West Ham’s opponents on Saturday.

The Belgian striker debuted against Fulham on Saturday and played a part in Palace’s second goal after his shot was palmed into the path of Jeffrey Schlupp who made it 2-0.
