Chelsea happy for Marcos Alonso to leave in January transfer window after interest from Inter Milan who also want Giroud – The Sun

CHELSEA are open to letting Marcos Alonso leave the club this month, according to reports.

The left-back, 29, has fallen out of favour under Frank Lampard this season.

His long-term future appears to be away from Stamford Bridge, with Lampard preferring Emerson in the role.

Alonso has made 14 appearances this season, scoring one goal – the winner in the victory over Newcastle in October.

According to The Telegraph, Inter Milan are leading the chase for the Spanish international.

He still has three-and-a-half years left to run on his Chelsea contract, which sees him pocket £100,000 per week.

Inter boss Antonio Conte got the best out of Alonso during his spell in charge in West London before his sacking, which cost the club £26million.

Deployed as the left wing-back, he scored 13 goals across two seasons under the Italian.
