Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has Roman Abramovich's full support over Romelu Lukaku spat after ace's bombshell interview
THOMAS TUCHEL has the full support of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich in his spat with Romelu Lukaku.
The rebel striker resumed training on Monday after being axed by boss Tuchel over an explosive TV interview in which he said he wants to leave.
Lukaku is now being urged to apologise for the comments which have outraged fans and even surprised those close to him.
Tuchel is pondering whether to recall Lukaku for Wednesday's Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg against fierce rivals Tottenham.
The pair held talks on Monday but the club refused to comment on any aspect of the meeting or the ongoing situation.
But it is understood Tuchel enjoys the backing of Chelsea’s benefactor Abramovich.
The Russian spent £97.5 million of his fortune bringing the Belgian to the club just five months ago.
And sources close to the player are urging him to say sorry and draw a line under the whole saga.
