Best horse racing tips for today's action at Newcastle, Lingfield and Kempton from Tom Bull

Unfortunately, he found less in the tank than the Trotters' Independent Traders van. Still, I managed to nail one winner to the mast, so here's hoping for some more success today.

Newcastle

3.20 Mumgos Debut – 11-year-old was slightly lucky to come out on top at Ayr last time, benefiting from the late fall of Las Tunas.

However, that one has since gone on to bolt up in a similar race, so the form looks pretty good.

A wind op looked to have helped him that day and he's not been raised by the handicapper, so this weak race looks a good opportunity for him to follow up.

Lingfield

3.40 Arqalina – Lucy Turner is very good value for her 5lb claim and she can guide Venetia Williams' seven-year-old to victory.

She was a very good third behind an in-form winner at Hereford last time and gets to run off the same mark here (5lb lower with the claim).

This is not a strong contest and with Williams' string in flying form, she should take all the beating.

Kempton 6.15: Unit Of Assessment – 'Like many of the races on the card, there are few who count, and this one should be able to go one better than last time'

Kempton

6.15 Unit Of Assessment – Produced a fine performance from a wide draw to finish second last time and this step up to a mile and a half should help.

He's much better berthed this time and gets to run off the same mark.

Like many of the races on the card, there are few who count, and this one should be able to go one better than last time.
