Barcelona 'step up Raphinha transfer chase and plan talks with Leeds but will NOT make Adama Traore loan permanent'

BARCELONA have reportedly stepped up their bid to sign Leeds star Raphinha in the summer.

That is according to the Daily Telegraph, who report that Barca have scheduled imminent talks over the winger.

The Catalans don't want to waste time by waiting until the end of the season and are prepared to offer all kinds of different deals for the Brazil international.

This comes amid reports suggesting that Barca will not sign Adama Traore on a permanent deal once his loan stint from Wolves ends in June.

Traore's hopes of securing a permanent move back to Barcelona are “getting more complicated every day” due to a dip in form.

The winger hit the ground running upon his return to the Nou Camp in January with four assists in his first seven games.

However, the Spain international has struggled to deliver in recent matches and he has been on the periphery.

Raphinha could be a potential replacement but his asking price will depend on whether Leeds avoid relegation.

The 25-year-old would be worth £25million if Jesse Marsh's men drop to the Championship and Barcelona are willing to trigger it as soon as possible to secure him.

Leeds are just two points away from the relegation zone as they are battling it out with Everton, who have a game in hand, and Burnley.
