Arsenal transfer news: Bernd Leno set for homecoming in Germany, according to the bookies

BERND LENO could leave Arsenal in the January window and a move back to Germany is looking most likely, according to Betfair.

Stuttgart are currently leading the market to be the goalkeeper's next destination, but they could face competition from their Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen.

Leno began his career with Stuttgart's second team before joining Bayer Leverkusen, where he made over 200 appearances.

So with a potential homecoming on the horizon, Stuttgart are favourites to sign Leno at 7/4.

While Bayer Leverkusen are second favourites at 3/1.

AC Milan are third in the market and are priced at 10/1 with Betfair to swoop in and sign the Arsenal goalkeeper.

Leno appears to have fallen behind Arsenal's summer signing Aaron Ramsdale in the pecking order in North London.

Ramsdale made his Premier League debut against Norwich and since then the Gunners have been undefeated, winning three games and drawing against Brighton.

Betfair Spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “With reports Bernd Leno could leave Arsenal in the January window, it looks like a return to Germany is the most likely move for the keeper.

"Stuttgart at 7/4 are favoured ahead of Bayer Leverkusen at 3/1, while AC Milan could also be in the mix at odds of 10/1.”
