Arsenal fans say Ozil is 'finished' after shocking display in training

In a video on the club's YouTube account, the Gunners players play a small-sided game where Ozil, 30, goes in for a challenge on Alex Iwobi.

But the German's challenge is easily brushed aside by the Nigeria international, as he turns both Ozil and Aaron Ramsey to play a square diagonal through ball.

To be fair to the former Real Madrid man — who is wearing a headband — he does close down the space and Iwobi is not allowed to move forward into his area of the pitch.

One fan commented on the YouTube video: "Exactly why Emery doesn't pick Ozil."

Another said: "Ozil doesn't even practice shooting like the other guys."

A third said: "What is the point of Ozil and Elneny training… Emery won't play them anyway."

Later Ozil also shows a lovely touch as he takes down a high ball with his left foot — with Iwobi in close pursuit — and this time he squares the ball to Matteo Guendouzi, who loses the ball.

The Gunners players also perform a number of shooting drills, wrapped up warm in training tops and snoods.

In another funny twist, Arsenal regularly upload video content to their YouTube account, and in the final sign off they have Aaron Ramsey and Petr Cech in front of the camera, appealing to get fans to subscribe.

Welshman Ramsey asks: "Guys! Where are you going?"

One fan hilariously comments on the video: "No Ramsey, where are you going?" in reference to his likely switch to Juventus.
