Arsenal chief Edu set to sign his son Luigi, 15, from Corinthians after accidentally revealing transfer on Instagram – The Sun

ARSENAL are set to sign Edu's son Luigi Gaspar from Corinthians after he accidentally revealed the move on Instagram.

The 15-year-old appears to have changed his social media biography location from Brazil to London after his dad, 41, took up his new position as technical director at the North London club.

Given Luigi is only 15, it would make sense for him to move with his parents and he was not under contract at Corinthians.

Edu and his wife Paula have Luigi and daughter Eduarda.

Teen Gaspar posted: "It was a pleasure to play for Corinthians, where I’ve won many titles, I’ve grown as person to be who I am today. My heart is black and white.

"Thanks again for everything Corinthians. I will forever be grateful to all of you."

The attacking midfielder will now join under academy manager Per Mertesacker's umbrella in Hale End.

Arsenal fans are waiting for confirmation the club have signed Ivory Coast winger Nicolas Pepe.

They have already landed £6million Brazilian teenager Gabriel Martinelli from Ituano on a long-term contract.

Dani Ceballos has also arrived from Real Madrid on loan, while William Saliba, 18, has been bought from Saint-Etienne and loaned straight back to the Ligue 1 side.

Unai Emery's side face Angers in a friendly tonight at 6.30pm before heading to Barcelona on Saturday.
