Arsenal ace Mesut Ozil now ODDS-ON to join Manchester United

The bookies have cut the Red Devils' odds after punters have piled in on the attacking midfielder leaving the Emirates in the last 24 hours.

The Red Devils are just 4/5 to sign Ozil who was left out of the Gunners' ruthless derby day win over Tottenham.

Meanwhile Barcelona are second favourites at 7/2, which would see him join Real Madrid's arch rivals after spending three years at the Bernabeu.

But the only other Premier League side rivaling United for Ozil in the bookies market is Manchester City (7/1).

Coral's John Hill said: "It looks like Ozil is going to be on the move in January and we are seeing one-way traffic for Manchester United to capture the out of favour midfielder from Arsenal.”

Ozil could be reuniting with his former Madrid boss, with Jose Mourinho currently in charge at Old Trafford.

A potentially high-profile switch to Arsenal's rivals would also see him follow in the same footsteps as Alexis Sanchez who joined United in January last year.

The 30-year-old would boost Mourinho's attacking options after United have failed to win their last three league games, scoring just three goals in this poor run.

Ozil remains a doubt for Arsenal's away trip to Old Trafford on Wednesday as he is currently battling a back injury.
