Ageing Man Utd captain Ashley Young could join pal Rooney at DC United as Solskjaer looks at squad overhaul

MANCHESTER UNITED captain Ashley Young could join former team-mate Wayne Rooney at DC United, according to reports.
The Red Devils are ready to axe 14 players from the squad with a huge transformation planned for the summer of 2020.
Young, 33, only penned a new one-year extension to his contract in February.
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be tempted to cash in early should they receive a decent offer for the England defender.
And reports from the Manchester Evening News claim he could follow in Rooney's footsteps by seeing out his career in the MLS.
Man United fans were surprised when Young was handed a new deal following a difficult season at left-back.
They were even more angry when it was announced he could wear the captain's armband next season despite being handed a reduced role when the new campaign gets underway.
United's rebuilding campaign is expected to last more than two transfer windows and the manager may want to keep Young around just to maintain depth in his squad.
Antonio Valencia, Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian are all braced for the exit door.
Fellow defenders Phil Jones and Chris Smalling are also up for sale if United receive a decent offer.
