  • CHELSEA have been told to cough up £50million for Brighton defender Lewis Dunk, according to reports.

The Blues are looking for reinforcements in defence and see the Seagulls centre-back as a viable alternative to Antonio Rudiger, Fikayo Tomori, Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen.

Frank Lampard's side have struggled at the back but have a big budget to work with after their transfer ban.

And they have been told to dig deep if they want to sign the defender, who would cost them £50m, according to the Times.

Another option could be a player-plus-cash deal if any of their players wanted to be guaranteed first-team football on the South Coast.

Chelsea have kept just five clean sheets this season and their defence has looked wobbly at times.

  • BARCELONA have made Mauricio Pochettino their top managerial target – despite the ex-Spurs boss vowing NEVER to work for them.

The Nou Camp side are desperately searching for someone to replace the under-fire Ernesto Valverde.

Incredibly, club legend Xavi said no to going back to the club in the middle of the season – but said he would be interested in the summer.

Reports in Spain said former Everton boss Ronald Koeman was also approached over replacing Valverde.

But the current manager of the Dutch national team said no.

Reports claimed Koeman does have a release clause written into his contract with Holland but it can only be activated after this summer's Euros.

The double rebuff means Barcelona have turned their attention to 47-year-old Poch, who was sacked by Spurs in November and replaced by Jose Mourinho.

  • LEICESTER CITY have asked Man Utd about the availability of Luke Shaw, according to the Mirror.

The left-back has struggled for form and fitness this season, with Brandon WIlliams fast becoming the preferred choice.

With the Foxes expecting to lose Ben Chilwell either this month or in the summer, they have started their enquiries into his replacement.

A move to the King Power Stadium could be just want Shaw needs after a disappointing time at United following his promise while at Southampton.

  • ARSENAL goalkeeper Dejan Iliev is expected to join Polish side Jagiellonia Bialystok on loan until the end of the season, according to Arsenal Youth blog.

The Macedonian shot-stopper was at Slovakian outfit Sered – but was recalled, despite making 18 appearances.

It has been reported that there were offers from League One, but the keeper wants to test himself in a more competitive division.

Iliev has failed to register a league appearance for Arsenal, but was on the bench in the Europa League final last season.

  • TOTTENHAM have reportedly sent scouts to watch Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara take on Juventus tonight, according to Tuttosport.

Spurs are keen to add to their defensive midfield options with Moussa Sissoko now set for a spell on the sidelines.

Victor Wanyama is tipped to leave Tottenham this month, while Eric Dier has lacked form.

But they will have to move quickly with Chelsea also targeting the 22-year-old Guinea international.
