SPURS turn their attentions to Europe as they take on RB Leipzig in the Champions League.

Yet, at least the Germans will also be missing a key player, with transfer target Dayot Upamecano sidelined.

  • MORNING, SPURS FANS

Jose Mourinho believes Tottenham's injury problems are more than just a bad day in The Office as he prepares to face RB Leipzig tonight without new crock Son Heung-min and fellow injured striker Harry Kane.

The Spurs chief went all David Brent with his assessment of his problems for the home Champions League last-16 first leg.

Perhaps fearing Tottenham will be left as little more than Extras unless their luck changes, Mourinho said: “Now we are with our arms on the balcony on the fourth floor and we have two options.

“One is to give up and fall and normally die because it’s the fourth floor. Another way is to fight with what we have — no stairs but arms.”

But any mention of arms might make Son flinch at the moment.

Mourinho said Spurs' injury situation “couldn't get any worse” when his South Korean superstar was ruled out for the season after fracturing his arm, which needed surgery.

Meanwhile, Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has pinched Tottenham defender Luis Binks, 18, for his MLS side Montreal Impact.

And even more left field than that, a potential Spurs fourth shirt – has been leaked online – with fans labelling it “nasty” and “can do better”.

The top is grey at the top, getting darker step by step – perhaps reflecting Mourinho's mood as his injury woes mount up.

  • HOME BINKER

ARSENAL legend Thierry Henry has swooped on former rivals Tottenham to snap-up England youth starlet Luis Binks.

The 42-year-old Frenchman took charge of MLS side Montreal Impact in November and is gearing up for his season in North America.

Now he has bolstered his outfit by returning to North London to bring in the 18-year-old defender, as reported on Sun Sport last week.

Impact sporting director Olivier Renard said: “We are very happy to acquire this young player with a very high ceiling.

“Luis has chosen this club and Montreal to continue his career.

“He is a defender with high passing quality, who has shown great maturity on the field since the start of camp in St. Petersburg.

“We hope he’ll integrate well into the group and acclimate quickly to MLS.”

  • HANGING TOUGH

JOSE MOURINHO reckons Tottenham are hanging from the balcony as they fight to save their season.

After seeing Son Heung-min join Harry Kane with a long-term injury, the Spurs boss compared his plight to being caught high up in a building with collapsed stairs.

He said: “Now we are with our arms on the balcony on the fourth floor and we have two options.

“One is to give up and fall and normally die because it’s the fourth floor.

“Another way is to fight with what we have – no stairs, but arms.”
