The ex-Spurs defender has hailed the move to bring in Mourinho and is confident United will prove no match for their former manager's new side.
“It was a bold decision [to get rid of Pochettino], but Jose's record wherever he's been is incredible,” Dawson told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.
“Since he's gone in he's winning games, getting the feel good factor again and tonight I think They'll beat Man United and keep that run going.”

EVERTON will reportedly look to ward of interest from Tottenham in defender Lucas Digne by tying the left-back to a new contract.
Spurs are said to be one of a number of sides eyeing a potential swoop for the 26-year-old who has been a rare bright spot in an otherwise testing campaign for the Toffees.
The Blues will reportedly hope to sign Digne on a deal to keep him at Goodison until 2024.
