RUBEN LOFTUS-CHEEK will seek assurances before committing his long-term future to Chelsea, writes SunSport's Warren Haughton.

The midfielder has another two years left on his current deal, but club chief Marina Granovskaia wants to sit down with the academy graduate about extending his stay at Stamford Bridge beyond 2021.

But SunSport have been told the 23-year-old wants to be told he is a genuine part of the Blues first-team plans moving forward.

The England star has only started six Prem games this term scoring six goals.

And despite a niggling back injury, there is a suggestion Loftus-Cheek feels he should have started more games this season under Maurizio Sarri.

ASTON VILLA will offer Chelsea £25million to sign Tommy Abraham permanently if they secure promotion, according to reports.

The striker, 21, scored from the spot to give his side a 2-1 lead over West Brom ahead of the second leg of the Championship play-off.

According to the Telegraph, Villa will splash the cash to make his loan deal permanent if they book their spot in the Premier League.

Chelsea was shipped out to Villa Park in August 2018 after impressive loan spells with Bristol and Swansea City.

He has been the club's shining star this season with 26 goals and three assists in all competitions.

Dean Smith will want to keep hold of him, but Everton are also reportedly chasing a £25m move for him.

CHELSEA have kicked-off their exhausting, 11,500-mile world tour by flying out to Boston for their pointless friendly with New England Revolution.

The Blues have taken five new youngsters to the USA, as Maurizio Sarri's men face a gruelling fortnight of travel.

Just a day after completing their final Premier League game of the season – a 0-0 draw with Leicester – Chelsea have ensured their players aren't given a break.

Rather than start training for their Europa League final in Baku, Azerbaijan in a little over two weeks, they've jetted off to America.

Chelsea will take on MLS side New England revolution for a one-off friendly, in what will be a 6,000-mile round-trip on its own.

The controversial fixture has been slammed by boss Sarri, despite it being part of the club's anti-Semitism programme.

The match is being dubbed the “Final Whistle on Hate”, as part of the “Say no to anti-Semitism” campaign.
