XABI ALONSO has shut down rumours he will be leaving Real Sociedad for a coaching role at either Arsenal or Manchester City.
The former Liverpool midfielder has been linked with a backroom position at both clubs, either to join compatriot Mikel Arteta in north London or replace his good friend at the Etihad.
But Sociedad B manager Alonso told Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo: “No. I’m here at ease, my head is only here.
“I have no other thoughts. No proposal has come to me and I am where I want to be. I’m very happy.
“After finishing my career as a player, being able to start another one and return to Donostia [San Sebastian], to my club, seeing how things are being done, is a pleasure.

CARLO ANCELOTTI has agreed a £14million to deal to take charge of Everton after being axed by Napoli.
