  • WILLIAN'S contract saga at Chelsea has increased rumours the Blues will return for long-term target Wilfried Zaha, according to reports.

Brazilian winger Willian has been left in limbo at Stamford Bridge after claiming he has not been offered fresh terms and can talk to foreign clubs about a summer move in January.

According to the Telegraph, losing the 31-year-old and fellow wide player Pedro, who is also entering the final six months of his contract, would leave Chelsea needing to sign a wide player.

And the outlet report that Crystal Palace star Zaha remains on the Blues’ radar, while they are also aware Jadon Sancho could leave Borussia Dortmund next summer.

  • ROSS BARKLEY has been accused of sending his career backwards by being “immature and a bit daft”.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has already chastised his injured England midfielder for a “lack of professionalism” after partying in Dubai.

And now ex-Stamford Bridge Andy Townsend believes Barkley risk undoing his “hard work” on the pitch at the start of the season.

Townsend told Sky Sports’ The Debate: “I’d seen a bit of an improvement in his game…, he’s always looked like he’s got ability but he’s never been able to stitch it together for a long enough period.

“Frank has already said he’s not going to hold a grudge or hold it against him but he goes to the back of the queue and he has to step forward again.

“That’s where I think he’s been very silly, he’s given others the chance to have that shirt and maybe they’ll be a little bit smarter in keeping it.”
