World Mental Health Day: date, theme, and quotes to share with loved ones

Your health is your wealth, as the saying goes, but so often people wrongly think this just pertains to your physical wellbeing.

While going for a run or hitting the gym has its physical – and mental – benefits, mental health is something that requires its own care, attention and responsibility too.

So, today October 10, we are happy to join in celebrating World Mental Health Day – something which could be more important than ever following months of lockdowns and limitations.

Read on to find out more about today’s theme, resources and other quotes to help celebrate…

World Mental Health Day 2020 theme

The theme for this year’s World Mental Health Day, set by the World Federation, is ‘mental health for all’.

Mental health and wellbeing is not a ‘trend’ or a ‘fad’ – it is important and the resources made available by the Mental Health Foundation will help you understand how to incorporate and adopt better mental health care, just like you would with your physical health.

World Mental Health Day 2019 had the theme of suicide prevention.

If you wish to partake further and use the resources available, you can consider donating today to keep the charity funded.
