Beauty transformations have long been popular as people are able to alter their appearance drastically by making extravagant changes.

But perhaps the easiest way to impress with a new look is simply to go and get your hair done.

Swimwear designer and internet celebrity Karina Irby, 32, has shocked her 1.2million Instagram followers with just how significant a change a haircut and camera angle can impact how a person looks.

Karina uses her Instagram platform to share the message of body positivity and her recent post dispels the myths of the 'perfect' look.

In it, she contrasts a glam pic of herself with a realistic and untouched image from an angle many are not used to seeing of themselves.

She captioned her candid Instagram post: "During VS after getting your hair did. Who else can relate?"

The transformation between the two pictures is remarkable and it's almost impossible to believe it is the same person in both snaps as Karina goes from a casual dressing gown and T-shirt look with wet hair and a double chin to a glamorous picture with luscious long blonde wavy locks.

We're all accustomed to the occasional selfie and group snap and have learnt our best angles but in a world of Instagram filters and airbrushing it can be difficult to share a picture without it looking 'perfect'.

Karina's before and after snaps indicate just how much the simple change of getting your hair done can drastically change your appearance.

Her fans loved the transformation pics and were quick to share their love with the social media star.

One wrote: "Beautiful in both", along with a love heart eye emoji.

Another said: "Girl this is something we all relate to" along with a smiley face emoji.

A third added: "Omg this made my day!! You SEXY babe!!"

Karina is known for her snaps of her bikini line, Moana Bikini, as well as sharing pictures of her curvy figure often in bright colours.

The Australian beauty has also previously opened up about how she deals with trolls on the social media platform which she described as 'the lowest form of bullying.'

She said: "Yes I put myself out there on the internet but that doesn’t allow you the right to abuse, shame and attack me. Or anyone for that matter.

Like what you see? Then fill your boots…
