Woman shares how to correctly wash your bedsheets and we’ve been doing it wrong all this time

Washing bedsheets is a tedious task, and once you have finished, more often than not, they are all tangled together.

However, Instagram cleaning star Mrs D has shared her hack with her 67.7k followers for washing your bedsheets hassle-free.

Firstly, she explained that you must button up your duvet cover before you wash it. Although this may seemingly take more time it will stop it from swallowing up your sheets and pillow cases.

The social media influencer explained: "When putting my bedding in the washing machine I always button up the opening once I’ve removed the Duvet.

"This will stop your pillowcases and fitted sheet finding their way inside your duvet cover while in the washing machine."

She shared her tip for tumble drying sheets, explaining that it is beneficial to dry your fitted or flat sheets before your pillow cases and duvet, not at the same time.

Mrs D wrote: "While your duvet cover is drying, you can start to make your bed up with the fitted/flat sheet and pillowcases.”

"By the time you have done this your duvet cover will be dry and ready to go back on your bed."

She then added: “Happy cleaning”, alongside a kissing face emoji.

Many fans were quick to praise the method, with one writing: “Yes I need to do this as everything gathers inside the duvet case and it’s becomes a nightmare have a lovely day”.
