Wilko is selling rainbow Christmas trees for £30 – £20 cheaper than Asda’s

Rainbow Christmas trees seem to be very trendy this year.

Asda is selling a multi-coloured fir for £50 – and it’s caused quite the stir online.

But if you want to get the look for less, you should try heading to Wilko instead.

The bargain store is flogging a 5ft colourful tree for £30 – saving you £20 when you buy the lookalike product.

For £2, you can order the product via click and collect.

Or for a fiver, you can get the festive fir delivered direct to your door in time for the big day.

Rainbows have proven to be a symbol of hope during the coronavirus pandemic, which may be why they’ve surged in popularity.

Back in March, people started putting rainbow pictures in their windows to thank the NHS.

Some also used the artwork in a bid to cheer people up who were passing by.

The aim is to put a smile on the smile of someone, and also a message of hope.

Rainbows are often used as a symbol of peace and hope, because they often appear with the sun after heavy rainfall.

It’s a symbol that should remind us that there is hope and light to follow, even after the dark times.

The trend appears to have started in Italy, but it has been adopted by people all over the world, in the UK, US, Canada and Spain.
