According to multiple reports, Trevor has been quietly dating actress Minka Kelly since August. It sounds like things are pretty serious between them—according to People, the couple are “really happy and in love” and moved into a $27.5 million Bel-Air home in December.
“They’re making plans for a future together, and it’s a very stable relationship,” a source told the publication. “They’ve been spending time between coasts over the last year and had been looking for a place in L.A. as a couple.”

She’s been in a lot of movies and TV shows you’ve seen.
Minka’s breakout role was playing Lyla Garrity on Friday Night Lights, per IMDB. After the series wrapped in 2009, she got a starring role in Parenthood. She followed that up by playing Eve French in Charlie’s Angels and Abbey Whitman in Jane the Virgin. She’s currently starring as Dawn Granger/Dove in Titans.
Minka’s also been in plenty of movies, playing Autumn at the end of 500 Days of Summer and starring in The Roommate. She played Jacqueline Kennedy in Lee Daniels’ The Butler.
In 2019, Minka wrote a nostalgic Instagram post about playing Lyla Garrity, saying that the role “changed my life,” even though she wasn’t convinced at first that it would be a hit.
“There was no way a show about football—that was already a movie—about a player who breaks his neck in the pilot episode is going anywhere, but a job is a job amirite!” she wrote. “But it wasn’t about football. It was about relationships, family, humanity, love and loss. It was about longing to fit in and wanting to get out.”
Minka also said that she’s “forever grateful,” for the role.

Minka once worked as a scrub nurse.
Minka talked to InStyle in 2018 about the gig, saying that it was “the most exciting job I’ve ever had.” She also referenced the work in an Instagram post celebrating her former role on Friday Night Lights, writing, “I called the surgery center where I worked as a scrub nurse and told them I’d be leaving for some football show in Texas but I’ll see you guys again as soon as I’m back.” That didn’t happen.
In fact, Minka imagined herself working in healthcare before she got into acting. “I’ve held several feet of colon in my hand,” she told Men’s Health in 2008. “I could definitely sew up your leg. And anyway, modeling wasn’t for me. I’m too short. I’ve got a big butt. It wasn’t going to happen.”
She has a famous father.
Minka is the only child of former Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay, according to IMDB. Her mom, Maureen Kelly was reportedly a Las Vegas showgirl before giving birth, per Entertainment Weekly. Minka told Cosmopolitan in 2011 that she had a “pretty complicated” relationship with her mom.
“She was 5’11. Legs up to her ears, gorgeous. She got along on that for as long as she could,” Minka said, per Us Weekly. Minka said her mom would sometimes wake her up in the middle of the night when she got home from working at a strip club so that they could go grocery shopping. “That was like our big Friday,” she said, noting that her mom sometimes would want her to skip school.
Her mother inspired her to live healthier.
Minka’s mother passed away in 2008 after a battle with colon cancer. “My mom wasn’t the healthiest and when I lost her, that really inspired me to take care of myself and eat well and exercise,” Minka told Cosmopolitan. “I absolutely want grandchildren and I want to be around for them.”
Minka reconciled with her mother at the end. “By the time she passed I was holding her,” she told the publication. “I was with her until her last breath. We made it.”
Trevor isn’t the first famous man she’s dated.
Minka has been linked to Chris Evans, John Mayer, and Wilmer Valderrama. She also dated former Yankees star Derek Jeter for three years before the couple broke up in 2011, per E! News. Minka also dated Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams after his divorce, but the couple split in January 2018, per People.
She’s been to culinary school.
Minka wrapped up a six-month culinary course at the New School of Cooking in 2015. She marked the big day on Instagram.
