'The View': Meghan McCain Is in 'Newborn Land' and Has a Breastfeeding Question

Meghan McCain from The View became a mother recently with the birth of her baby daughter. Although the conservative co-host has not shared many details about her pregnancy, she has let some details slip. As she experiences motherhood she has been questioning some things and took to Twitter to share one of her queries with fans.

What did Meghan McCain ask?

As Donald Trump recovers from COVID-19 and an election looms across America, McCain shared a funny question on Twitter.

“I know there is a LOT going on in the world that is much more important but I’m in the throes of newborn land… but I just wanted to know if your nipples can actually fall off from breastfeeding?” she asked her followers.

The question got a multitude of hilarious responses but there was one in particular that caught McCain’s attention. A fan jokingly said that one of her nipples had in fact fallen off to McCain’s dismay.

“Wait WHAT?!?!!” was McCain’s reaction on Twitter.

McCain also recently shared that she was completely “blissed out” with baby Liberty Sage McCain Domenech. The Republican pundit was grateful for all the kind messages she had received from fans.

“Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the wonderful well wishes and overwhelming kindness,” McCain tweeted. “Ben and I are completely and utterly in love with our daughter and feeling indescribably blessed/blissed out. We will be watching her first debate as a family together tonight.”

Is Meghan McCain returning to ‘The View?’

One question that many The View viewers have asked is if McCain would be returning to the show. Some fans believed that she would want to stay home with her baby and not be distracted by having to do a show daily. McCain dispelled all doubts about her future on the ABC talk show when she stopped by Watch What Happens Live in August.

“Why does everyone ask me if I’m getting fired or quitting every 20 seconds?” she told host Andy Cohen, annoyed that people would ask that. “No other host has to deal with this BS. Yes, I’m coming back. It’s an election cycle.”

McCain believes it’s a double standard that the women always gets asked that question, while the men don’t ask if they’re working after having a baby.

“Super jealous no one is grilling my husband if he plans on continuing to work after our child is born,” she tweeted.

The View planned for McCain’s absence ahead of her maternity leave and producer Brian Teta said that guests would fill-in for the star.

“We will have a lot of good guests on the show and maybe a couple of surprise guest hosts,” he said according to Deadline. “We have every viewpoint accounted for, including the conservative side.”

So far, Ana Navarro has been appearing more regularly on the daytime talk show. The Nicaraguan-born political analyst is one of a few Republicans supporting Joe Biden for the presidency. Navarro is well-liked by viewers of the show and had hoped she would become a mainstay.

The View airs weekday mornings at 11 a.m. ET and 10 a.m. CT/PT on ABC.
