Tesco launches new range of inflatable garden sprinklers and toys – and prices start from £10

TESCO has launched a range of inflatable sprinklers and toys for the garden and prices start at just £10.

The supermarket's playthings are ideal for those hoping to soak up the sun with their children as temperatures soar to 29C across the UK today.

There's plenty to get your hands on too, including the Summer Waves Splash and Spray Waterpad, which only costs a tenner.

The waterpad has built in sprinklers and connects to a standard garden hose to keep little ones cool in the heat.

The Carousel Splash Family Pool is the second cheapest item in the range and will only set you back £15.

The paddling pool can hold up to 450 litres of water and has extra wide side walls for extra protection and sturdiness.

Shoppers can also pick up a Carousel Character Quick Set Pool for £30, which is unicorn themed.

And for the same price tag, you can get the Summer Waves Rainbow Arch Sprinkler, which stands 6ft tall and connections to any garden hose.

The base can also be filled with water so that it won't fall over.

There's also an inflatable Tesco delivery van for £30, that can be filled with water or play balls for children to play in.

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that'll check prices for you – so don't be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.

Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.

Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.

CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

Of course, it's worth shopping around before parting with your cash as you may be able to get a better deal elsewhere.

For example, we found a jumbo arched flamingo-themed sprinkler for £20 at Wilko, saving shoppers a tenner compared to Tesco's rainbow option.

We also spotted an inflatable playmat for sale on eBay for £7.99, saving customers £2 compared to Tesco's option.

All of the toys are available to buy online and in stores, apart from the inflatable Tesco van.

Online shoppers will need to take into account that there's a minimum £40 spend for standard delivery, which starts at £4.50.

For smaller orders, there's a £4 surcharge on top of the standard delivery fee.

Alternatively, you can shop at your local store, which you can find by typing in your postcode in the locator tool.
