DEAR DEIDRE: SCHOOL bullies terrify me every morning. I’m a lad of 14 and I’m overweight.

All my family are big.

My mother is Italian and prides herself on great cooking and none of us can resist her pasta and pizzas.

Primary school was OK but now I’m at secondary school, I can’t get through the day without being pushed around.

I’ve been beaten on the school bus and they laugh when I try to do any sports.

We had a Secret Santa in my form class at Christmas, but when I opened my gift it was a bra. Everyone laughed.

Every problem gets a personal reply, usually within 24 hours weekdays.

I was so upset, I left school for the day. I hate school.

I don’t know what to do.

DEIDRE SAYS: Your school should have an anti-bullying policy but you need to confide in somebody first to get the support you need. Y

our parents are the obvious people to help.

If you can’t talk to them, please speak to a teacher or a pastoral care worker if there is one and the school should handle things.

You have a right to be able to study in safe surroundings and be happy in school.
