Queen Maxima and King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands arrived in Pretoria today for their first state visit of South Africa.
And the royal couple looked happier than ever as they posed for photographs on a road blooming with blossom trees.
Maxima, 52, stunned in a colourblock dress by Zeus + Dione, which she previously wore during a three-day state visit to Greece in 2022.
The mother-of-three could be seen giggling as the couple were positioned in front of a magnificent backdrop of jacaranda trees.
Pretoria is widely known as Jacaranda City due to its vast number of trees, which turn the landscape blue and purple when they flower in Spring.

The blossom trees, hailing from Brazil, also bloom every October.
President Cyril Ramaphosa will host Their Majesties on the state visit, which is the second of a Dutch monarch since Queen Beatrix visited South Africa at the invitation of President Nelson Mandela in 1996.
President Ramaphosa will formally greet the couple at a Welcome Ceremony on Thursday at the Union Buildings in Pretoria.
For the official photographs, the Queen Maxima accessorised her elegant look with a white fascinator and suede court shoes.
Meanwhile, King Willem-Alexander was smartly clad in a navy suit, teamed with a crisp white shirt and playful horse print tie.
There is a glamorous evening ahead at the ambassador’s residence, where the royal duo will meet representatives of the Dutch community who live and work in Pretoria.

Earlier in the day, the King and Queen visited Blesbokspruit Wetland Reserve, where they learned about the challenges South Africa faces with water quality and supply.
They then paid a visit to the Apartheid Museum to meet judges, activists and artists.
The couple later joined the Netherlands’ Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, Piet Adema, to learn more about green initiatives at The Innovation Village, which is helping South African businesses become more sustainable.
Tomorrow’s events kick off with a meeting with President Ramaphosa, who will make a joint statement with the King after signing a memo of understanding on education, culture and science between the two nations.
The morning will conclude with a private lunch for the royals hosted by Mr Ramaphosa.
The state visit is focusing on the excellent ties and equal partnership between the Netherlands and South Africa.
South Africa is one of the Netherlands’ most important African partners in the areas of economics, politics, culture, education and science – and the two cooperate actively on solutions for a more just, inclusive and sustainable future.
