Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan announce plans to keep baby’s arrival ‘private’

Don’t look for Duchess Meghan to pose for the cameras hours after giving birth to her first child in late April or early May because it’s not going to happen.

Buckingham Palace officials announced in a statement Thursday morning that she and Prince Harry plan on keeping the birth “private” for a while before announcing the news to the public.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby,” the statement reads. “Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”

In short, it could be hours or days before they tell the public the baby is here or appear for photos with their bundle of joy.
