From flawless foundations to press-on nails that look as good as a professional manicure, customers have been flocking to Poundland stores since they reopened to stock up on some of its impressive beauty bargains.

And here’s another reason to head down to your local shop this weekend. The budget retail chain has just released a new bath and body range called Fabulush, consisting of 12 fun, pampering treats such as face masks, body scrubs and bath jellies – all, of course, costing just £1 each.

And customers were quick to point out the comparisons between this and another famous beauty brand – and the clue is in the name.

Several members of Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK have shared photos of the Poundland range, mentioning how much it looks like Lush – and the posts have collected hundreds of likes and comments.

“Poundland today. Very much like products from Lush. Had tubs of face masks, body lotion, shower gel and moisturisers," wrote one user.

Answering a question about the quality, another member wrote back: “It’s all vegan. I’ve used a few bits and I’m really impressed.”

Another member even went so far as to post a link to her YouTube video, in which she talks through some of Poundland’s new beauty offerings, including what she refers to as “the Lush dupes range”.

And there are certainly some similarities, in the packaging at least. Poundland’s Slay The Clay Charcoal Face Mask looks remarkably like Lush Mask of Magnaminty Face and Body Mask, £9 here, while the £1 Sea, Sand, Scrub sounds very similar to Lush Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub, £11 here.

Other Facebook users have mentioned how another new Poundland beauty product, Land of Nod Pillow Spray, is an excellent alternative for the Lush Twilight Body Spray, which costs £20 here.

“Got this spray today and it smells exactly like the Lush ‘Twilight’ spray I usually buy for £20! Definitely want to try more of the range,” the group member posted.

According to Cosmetify, Lush was the second most searched beauty brand in the world in the first quarter of this year, so we bet we’re not the only ones who’ll be excited to hear of these bargain alternatives.
