A pink satin dress from Zara has been dubbed ‘the look of summer 2022’ after going viral on TikTok and selling out nationwide. 

The midi dress, costing £45.99, has been seen on many influencers on Instagram and TIkTok, where the hashtag #ZaraPinkDress has racked up more than 7.2 million views.   

It features a bustline that has been sectioned with piping and a low scoop neck, iand has spaghetti straps and a cut-out detail on the back. – with many women branding it ‘perfect’.

One TikTok creator said: ‘I saw it, and I have a wedding coming up in March, and I thought it would be perfect… It’s so good… It’s giving How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, but pink.

‘It would look so cute with some little pink heels, I cannot wait to wear this,’ said another.

For those wanting to purchase the dress, Zara’s website mentions a future restock and the frock also comes in a lilac shade and green tone, but both have also sold out since the beginning of this week. 

However, not all are fans of the satin gown, with one TikTok creator with a 36D bust warning it could lead to a wardrobe malfunction.

She said: ‘This is supposed to be a midi dress but on me, I’m 4″11, it fit like a maxi dress.

One creator, who had a larger chest, warned big breasted women that they might encounter a wardrobe malfuntion


The dress quickly sold out after being heralded as the perfect summer wedding guest occasion dress

‘Now don’t get me wrong, I was feeling myself in that dress but my only con is the low neckline, if you have any type of breasts, it’s not for you.

‘Normally I wear a size medium or large but with this dress I wore a size extra large and it was only because of the breast area, I thought If I went up a size the chest would be larger as well but that wasn’t really the case.

‘Overall, the dress is absolutely stunning, but if you have a larger chest, I highly recommend trying it on before you purchase,’ said another.

Some commenters on both videos were in love with the dress.

Some commenters were smitten with the frock and claimed it looked more expensive that the real cost

One person said: ‘Omg I loveeee’.

While another agreed, saying: ‘How to lose a guy in 10 days x 13 going on 30 vibes’.

A third person wrote: ‘Its so beautiful omg you look amazing’.

While others voiced their concerns about the bust area.

One person said: ‘My DD could never so pretty though’.

Another agreed, saying: ‘My DDD just laughed, but you look AMAZING in it!’

While one person thought the popularity could be a negative: ‘Be careful, I think everyone is going to wear that dress to a wedding.’

Other commenters thanked Amber for her honest review but said how gorgeous they thought it was nonetheless

It’s not the first time fashion fans have become obsessed with a Zara dress. 

In 2019,  an Instagram account emerged with posted ‘sightings’ of a black and white polka dot dress out in public.

From spotting the same frock several times at one event, to seeing double in the same space, the polka dot maxi was seen all over the UK and account ‘Hot 4 the Spot’ happily receives the submissions.
