People Are Body Shaming Ayesha Curry's 10-Month-Old Baby—And She's Not Here For It

  • Ayesha Curry shared a family photo Tuesday night, which garnered criticism from commenters.
  • Instagram commenters body-shamed Ayesha and her 10-month-old son Canon.
  • Ayesha was not having this, and clapped back at the rude commenters.

Body shaming anyone is just not okay—and that goes double for body shaming a baby. Unfortunately, that’s what recently happened to Ayesha Curry’s baby, and she is not having it.

Ayesha, 30, shared a photo on Instagram of her husband Steph Curry, who plays for the Golden State Warriors, posing with his brother Seth Curry, who plays for the Portland Trail Blazers, along with a bunch of family members. The two brothers played against each other in the NBA’s Western Conference Finals, so it was basically a family affair.

“Infinitely proud of these guys, Ayesha wrote, in the caption, adding that it’s “not about wins and losses, it’s all about family.” (Just FYI: the Trail Blazers one).

Infinitely proud of these guys. Gods grace and mercy continues to cover our family and we are so grateful. Not about wins and losses, it’s all about family. Moments like this simply put it all into perspective. “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” – Matthew 6:33

Innocent enough, right? Well, one commenter took it upon themselves to ask Ayesha, who gave birth to her son Canon 10 months ago, if she was pregnant again. While everyone knows this is a question you just don’t ask, Ayesha laughed it off. “Absolutely not LOL,” she wrote. “My 30 lb son is just breaking my back in every photo.”

That’s when it things got even worse. Someone else wrote: “If that kid is 30lbs he’s got some serious health issues going on.” At that point, Ayesha was plain over it.”Excuse you?” she wrote. “No. Just no.”

Plenty of people had her back on Instagram, too. “Don’t comment like that about a baby. Rude,” one person wrote. “Not cool,” another said.

Ayesha has been in the news a lot lately. She recently told Working Mother that she got a “botched boob job” after having her second child, Ryan, who is now three. “I didn’t realize at the time, but after having Ryan, I was battling a bit of postpartum that lingered for a while,” Ayesha said. “It came in the form of me being depressed about my body. So I made a rash decision.”

Ayesha said that her “intention was just to have them lifted,” but she ended up “with these bigger boobs I didn’t want” when the whole thing was over. “I got the most botched boob job on the planet,” she said. “They’re worse now than they were before.”

Frankly, I think she looks fabulous—and that goes double for her adorable little boy.
