My mum is arranging to hook up with my workmates online — I'feel humiliated

She has agreed to meet them and I feel humiliated.

I am a 20-year-old-guy. I was browsing dating sites during my lunch break and gasped when I saw photos of my mum on one, looking for sex. Colleagues saw it was her. She is 41 and divorced.

I was embarrassed and tried to fob them off, saying it was just someone who looked a bit like my mum. But they weren’t convinced. Now they have been in touch with her and she’s agreed to meet. What should I do?

DEIDRE SAYS: You could try talking to her about what you stumbled across and how worried you are that she is going to get hurt.

Tell her too how embarrassed you have been.

This is probably going to leave her feeling very down, so please tell her you love her and that she’s too good for silly lads.
