My husband isn’t interested in having sex since he had an emergency triple bypass – The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: TWO years ago my husband had an emergency triple bypass – and our sex life has never recovered.

He was 55 and hadn’t been feeling well. It gave him the fright of his life.

I feel lucky he got the help that he needed in time but I do miss the physical side of our marriage a lot.

His sex drive has gone and the pills he got from his doctor don’t help.

I’m 56 and I don’t like to think that I’ll never have sex with my husband again.

Our relationship isn’t the same any more and it’s changed how I feel about me.

DEIDRE SAYS: He’s had a fright and may need some reassuring that sex will be safe.

Explain how you are feeling and urge him to go back to his GP to talk about this and see if his medication could be changed.

Meanwhile, he can still give you sexual pleasure and make you feel cherished and loved. You can find help at the British Heart Foundation (bhf.org.uk, 0300 330 3311).
