Actress Mariska Hargitay broke her ankle as she fell while leaving a screening of “Black Widow” in the Hamptons.

The “Law & Order” legend was taken to Southampton Hospital on Friday after she tripped in the rain while leaving a star-studded Cinema Society screening of the new Marvel release.

An ambulance was called for Hargitay, 57, while other guests, including Brooke Shields — who is herself recovering from a broken femur — rushed to help outside the Regal UA East Hampton Cinema.

A source said Hargitay — who was already recovering from a broken knee and a hairline fracture in her ankle sustained last May — spent a few hours at the hospital and missed the afterparty for the screening, which was held at the actress’ home in East Hampton.

A source said, “Mariska was rushing to leave the screening to welcome guests to her home, and took a tumble on the slick rainy street outside the movie theater.

“She was taken to Southampton Hospital by ambulance with her husband Peter Hermann. She stayed there for several hours and ended up with a bandaged leg. She didn’t make it back to her house until after midnight when the party had mostly wound down.”

The source added, “Mariska was amazing. Rather than worrying about herself, she was more concerned that everything had gone well and that everyone had a good time at the party.”

Emmy-winning actress Hargitay and “Younger” star Hermann have an 11-bedroom mansion in East Hampton with a pool and a guest house. Neighbors include Martha Stewart, Jon Bon Jovi, and Candice Bergen.

The source added that Hargitay’s injury and the rain didn’t put a damper on the night, which marked the first movie screening at the theater in fifteen months, for a film that was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic by nearly a year and a half.

Guests at the Cinema Society screening and after-party included “Black Widow” star David Harbor, Drew Barrymore, Gayle King, Ellen Pompeo, Brooke Shields, Don Lemon, Zachary Quinto, Cynthia Nixon, Kyle MacLachlan, Jennifer Esposito, John Leguizamo, Donna Karan, Bruce Weber, Laurie Anderson, and Christie Brinkley.

But the fall is just the latest accident for the brave star. In May, Hargitay revealed she had suffered a broken knee, a hairline fracture in her ankle and a torn ligament and posted a picture of herself leaving the Hospital for Special Surgery wearing a leg brace.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, July 4, Hargitay posted an Instagram picture of herself lying on a bed, with the caption “Happy fourth”.

Her rep didn’t immediately get back to us.
