Man proposes with KFC chicken meal – leaving his girlfriend screaming

A couple have broken the internet after the lad decided to propose to his girlfriend with the help of Colonel Sanders by hiding the engagement ring in a KFC bun.

In a TikTok video watched just under 15 million times, user @higbogg shows his girlfriend enjoying a sunny picnic with a bag of fried chicken at her side.

He explains in the on-screen caption that he got her to open up a bread roll without telling her why he really wanted her to do it.

She opens up the bread and stares for a split-second, before screaming.

The woman then stares at him in shock as she realises she is holding an engagement ring and he bursts out laughing in the background at her over-the-top reaction.

Between his fits of laughter, he manages to ask her: "Will you marry me?"

"Are you kidding me?" she says in shock, looking at him in disbelief.

The TikTok user explained that her screams were of happiness and wrote in the caption: "She said yes!"

In a follow-up clip, he showed her admiring the dazzling ring while eating her chicken.

The first clip has been "liked" more than 2.9 million times and thousands of people have commented on the special moment.

"I thought she was excited because the biscuit split perfectly in half," joked one.

Someone else quipped: "He really said 'Ima risk it for a biscuit.'"

A third viewer commented: "This is the most genuine proposal reaction I’ve seen.

"I wouldn’t smile and cover my mouth – I’d scream and ask if it was a joke."

"KFC should make a commercial of this," said someone else.

Meanwhile, a woman wrote: "If my future husband doesn’t propose to me with a biscuit or some other delicious carb I don’t want it."

This comes after a woman was slated for keeping a £6,000 engagement ring found in her back garden without trying to reunite it with its original owner.
