London Pride events and parties to attend this weekend

London Pride is just around the corner.

This Saturday, the annual LGBTQ+ celebration returns to the capital.

And this year is a big one, too – as we mark 50 years since the historic march of 1972.

Thousands are expected to line the streets and watch the London Pride parade, which is due to commence at 12pm from Hyde Park Corner.

If you’re watching the parade this year, maybe you’re looking for a warm-up party, or a way to keep the festivities going afterwards.

Fear not, there are a number of brilliant events taking place in the capital across the day.

We’ve rounded up some exciting parties and events to check out.

At The Ball Pride brunch at The Coral Room

The Coral Room will be transformed into a catwalk this weekend for a celebratory brunch – complete with performers, dancers and drag artists.

The ‘At The Ball Pride’ daytime brunch will serve up killer looks, dancing and plenty to eat with a two-course brunch and disco-worthy cocktails, such as Frozen Banana Daquiris. Plates include smoothie bowls, pancakes, bagels and more.

A DJ will be on hand to ensure there’s never a dull moment, plus musicians and dancers are on the bill.

An evening of fun awaits at The Bloomsbury Club as it hosts ‘The Pride Late Show’ – following the capital’s Pride parade.

Drag King Beau Jangles will host the evening of fun, promising singing, dancing, music and more. Food and drinks are on offer too, including cocktails paying homage to Pride month – such as The Swizzle of the Night and Lady Marmalade.

Metro.co.uk celebrates 50 years of Pride

This year marks 50 years of Pride, so it seems only fitting that Metro.co.uk goes above and beyond in our ongoing LGBTQ+ support, through a wealth of content that not only celebrates all things Pride, but also share stories, take time to reflect and raises awareness for the community this Pride Month.

And we’ve got some great names on board to help us, too. From a list of famous guest editors taking over the site for a week that includes Rob Rinder, Nicola Adams, Peter Tatchell, Kimberly Hart-Simpson, John Whaite, Anna Richardson and Dr Ranj, as well as the likes of Sir Ian McKellen and Drag Race stars The Vivienne, Lawrence Chaney and Tia Kofi offering their insights.

During Pride Month, which runs from 1 – 30 June, Metro.co.uk will also be supporting Kyiv Pride, a Ukrainian charity forced to work harder than ever to protect the rights of the LGBTQ+ community during times of conflict, and youth homelessness charity AKT.
