Lizzo channels Jessica Rabbit at MTV VMAs 2019

Lizzo may have been passed over for the role of Ursula in “The Little Mermaid,” but now she’s gunning to play the part of a different animated hero: Jessica Rabbit.

The “Truth Hurts” singer, 31, stepped out at the 2019 MTV VMAs on Monday wearing a custom red sequin gown from Moschino by Jeremy Scott with the word “Siren” written all over it.

She paired the show-stopping look with a matching feather boa, also by Scott, and a dramatic bouffant hairstyle. The powerhouse singer vamped on the red carpet, posing holding her breasts, blowing kisses to the camera and generally soaking up in the spotlight.

To really drive the comparison home, Lizzo even tweeted a quote by the fictional sex symbol: “I’m not bad I was just drawn this way,” a line from the 1998 film “Who Framed Roger Rabbit.”

During an interview on the red carpet, the musician playfully suggested she should win the award for “Best Titties.” (She’s actually nominated for Best New Artist, and will perform during tonight’s show.)

As for whether Lizzo’s gown revealed the title of her next single? The star wouldn’t say — but if she was broadcasting a message with her outfit, it wouldn’t be the first time.

In 2017, Lizzo stepped out at the very same awards show wearing a white wedding dress with “Truth Hurts” written on the train to promote her hit song.

Whether announcing new music or not, Lizzo certainly set off alarm bells with her red-hot look.
