Joe Giudice thinks ex-wife Teresa Giudice and her new fiancé Luis “Louie” Ruelas, “moved a bit quick into this romance,” he told Celebuzz on Friday.
He explained, “I’m happy for Teresa and Louie, I give them my blessings. I think they moved a bit quick into this romance, but I’m glad she found her true love and wish them all the best.”
“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star got engaged to Ruelas this week after dating for just over a year. Ruelas, 47, proposed to Giudice, 49, during a romantic couple’s vacation in Greece on Tuesday. Close friend and former “RHONJ” co-star Dina Manzo and her husband Dave Cantin tagged along on the vacation.
Ruelas proposed while surrounded by rose petals and candles in the shape of a heart. The businessman popped the question in front of an illuminated “Marry Me” sign. Giudice happily said “yes,” and sparklers popped off.
The pair met up with Manzo and Cantin afterward, and the foursome celebrated until 5 a.m. with champagne and surf-and-turf at the Amazone Resort, People reported.
Giudice and Ruelas — who recently purchased a home together — began dating in July 2020 while she was in the process of divorcing Giudice, to whom she had been married for 20 years.
Joe pleaded guilty to fraud charges in 2014 and spent 41 months in prison. After serving his time, he was deported to his native Italy. Joe has since been splitting his time between Italy and the Bahamas.
Ruelas and Teresa visited her ex-husband in the Bahamas in April. The Giudice kids — Gia, 20, Gabriella, 17, Milania, 15, and Audriana, 12 — tagged along for the vacation and posted videos and photos of the happy family.
Milania posted a video of the group bonding at a dinner at Graycliff Restaurant. Joe reposted his daughter’s video and called the dinner a “great night out.”
