Ja Rule on why he’s excited for Kamala Harris’ VP win

While thousands took to the streets to celebrate Joe Biden winning the presidential election, Ja Rule was even more excited about Kamala Harris becoming the first female and first black vice president.

The rapper and father of a Hampton University graduate said, “You don’t even have to put ‘black’ in front of it. I think that’s a major accomplishment in itself . . . and she went to Howard, an HBCU [historically black colleges and universities]. Which I love. I know my daughter Brittney is even more happy . . . so lotta love in the air. That’s all we really want. That’s all we ask for this election. We just want to bring some love and decency back to the country.”

The hip-hop great thinks that Robert Greene’s “The 48 Laws of Power” is the perfect antidote for acceptance and change because problems with racism will not go away overnight.

“Let’s not get too carried away. It’s still an uphill battle . . . ‘The 48 Laws of Power’ speaks about making the enemy your friend . . . I think [by choosing Harris as a running mate, Biden said] to the black community, ‘I am on your side.’ ”
